some things i've been up to....

I put together some towels with my kids names on them. I think they turned out ok.

All it did was trace the letters onto fusible web and then ironed it onto the back of some fabric, then cut it out and ironed those letters onto the towels. Then i went around the edges of the letters with a zig zag stitch (not very good, mind you).

then i FINALLY put Sol's name up on the wall! (it just took me forever to do it)

Well... here he is! (i know i'm a bit behind in posting this... but here it goes)

First off, it was my 4th wedding anniversary :)

I went to the Doc's office for a regular appointment on the morning of June 30th. Once i get there, i'm strapped to some monitors (to check on the baby and make sure he's moving and responding good) and it turns out that i'm having several contractions (You would think that i had noticed these... but i was so uncomfortable anyways that i didn't).
The doc checks me and i'm dilated to a 2. So, she tells me that we are gonna have a baby today and that i need to go check into the hospital.
... that's all find and dandy, but i had driven myself to the appointment.. so i had to check in all by myself.

I texted larry asap and told him to call me "now" (but he was in the air, on his way home from Galvaston, and couldn't call). Then i called mom and told her what was going on (she was home with Titus) and told her not to worry and just to bring Titus up there within a couple of hours so i could see him before i went into surgery.

I also made sure that we would wait till Larry could be there for the csection, which was scheduled for 12:30. He did make it, about 45 mins before hand.

Surgery went good. Sol was 9 lbs 13 oz (really puffy/fluid filled) born at 1:06pm. He was having trouble breathing, so they took him straightway to the nursery (they dont have a major nicu, but they had something good enough to take him to). His blood sugar was off too (they said it was like i had gestational diabetes - but i tested negative for that.... so i dunno what that deal was.

They took me to recovery and then to my room. I wasn't able to go see him because i had to recover... and they couldnt take him to me.. because he was under a oxygen hood :(

I didn't get to see him till the next morning. I didnt sleep all the night before because i was so worried about him and how he was doing.

Lots of family got to go see him and take pictures of him, to show me, but i was still very anxious.

AT LAST i got to hold him! :):)

He was able to stay in our room at the end of that day. It was SO nice getting to hold him whenever i wanted.

Titus wasn't too sure about Solomon at first... but he has REALLY become a great big brother all ready. He LOVES Sol.

Anyways, we got to go home on Saturday mid morning. Boy, was i ready to be home and to start our lives as a family of four.

First Museum Trip

Over this last weekend, Titus and I went to go visit my sister, Sharon and her family. While we were there, Sharon and all of her kids and Titus and I went to the Museum of Science in Dallas.

ALL of us had a GREAT time! I really wish i would have taken more pics.. but alas.. i did not.

a little bit of catching up

Over this past weekend, Titus and I went to visit my parents in Centerville for a nice mini vacation.

While we were there, Titus got to ride the new pony, Lightning. She is a bit taller than my old pony, Cinnamon (who passed away a couple of years ago.... at the age of... uh.... 40? - she was a birthday present for me when i was just a very small girl.. when we brought her home, the vet said she was about 15 years old).

Lightning seems to have a VERY good attitude... though she isn't much to look at right now. She just needs to be curry-combed ALOT.. to get her coat nice and shiny. She also needs to be clipped all over and given a good bath (not in that order).

Titus LLOOVVEEDD the pony ride! He would laugh and giggle while she was walking and when we would stop for any reason, he would start to whine. He's gonna be a cowboy yet!

Well, Titus and I are still not feeling well. I think he's doing better than me though.

The reason he has a towel in his lap is because we had some major throwingup-age. Poor little guy :( he was so hungry though... so he got Bread and Water. :(

Goliath likes to stand by and wait for Titus to drop some crumbs.

He got to feeling good enough that he wanted to play with some of his toys. I'm very VERY very happy that he was feeling better.

My poor little boy isn't feeling well today. :(

I went and got my fingers and toes done today. BLISS. i reallllly needed a couple of hours to myself... so thank you, Larry, for watching Titus while i was out (if you can call it 'watching' - Titus napped the whole time i was gone).

Like i said, Tito isn't feeling too hot today. He doesnt have a fever (98.9) but he's just wants to cuddle and cuddle. He has a snot nose, major, and has even thrown up a little bit (but i think that was because he was coughing and got choked).

It's really cold here today... and i REALLY need to go to the grocery store... but 1) i don't wanna get Titus out in this bitter cold (esp while he's sick) and 2) i don't wanna get ME out in this bitter cold..... but i really want some Taco soup for dinner... or CHILI! ooh... decisions, decisions. Oh well, either way, i gotta go to the store. bah.

Wednesday ~

Today i had a OB appointment just to check on things... to make sure they are progressing properly (or whatever).
She went to listen to the heartbeat with the doppler and couldnt find it.. i started to worry... but she kept saying "its ok... this happens sometimes... the baby is probably just in a weird position".... kept on listening/looking.
She finally called in their sono machine that they keep in the office, and booted it up (took FOREVER) and almost as soon as the put it to my tummy she saw the heart beating. Thank You Lord! i was very nervous. i even got to see the little profile... but couldnt tell what little baby Camp #2 is just yet... the machine wasnt that great of quality... just good enough to see little heart beats :)

i go back in 4 weeks.. and then 3 weeks after that i have the big sono! woo hoo!

OH! Larry stayed home with Titus so i could go get my toes/fingers did afterwards... but when i got there they couldnt see me till way later... so i'm just gonna go back in the morning
but THANK YOU honey for watchin Titus anyways :) (it was a really cold day and i really didnt wanna get Tito out in it).

Speaking of Titus, he's gotten a bit of a snot nose and a cough (great).. so i decided to keep him home tonight instead of going to church services. I always feel bad when i dont go... but i would feel bad if i took Titus out and then he got worse.

in other news, i spent the better half of the Super Bowl in the ER. fun! i know.
i actually woke up with pretty bad indigestion, but i figured it would go away... seeing how i've had it off and on for the past several months... but all day i was feeling so bad. We went to eat at Olive Garden with a bunch of friends after sunday morning worship, but i couldnt eat but two bites of my food. i felt aweful. so... that night comes around and i'm debating weather or not to even go to church... but i suck it up and get dressed. Larry picks me up some Tums on the way and i pop a few down. around 5 that evening i started to notice some contractions... but i'm thinking its just braxton hicks stuff... but it didnt seem right. at church that night i notice they start getting stronger and closer together. NOT good... seeing how i still had 11 weeks till Titus was supposed to be here. so... i start timing them ... ya know... how long they are and how far apart they are coming. i get up during church and call my sister, Sharon, and she tries to calm me down and tells me to relax and maybe they will go away... well... they dont. after church we decide to go to a super bowl party that a couple from church are throwing at their house... so we get there ... and i think i'm psyching myself out... but they dont stop and they arent getting any farther apart (they are every 2 to 5 mins now about about 20-55seconds apart). Larry decides to bring me to the ER. (my very first ER visit since i was like 6 and i tried to stick pencil led up my nose) i check in and they wheel me away to a room in the Maternity ward. the hook me up to monitors and a IV to see whats going on. they give me a shot to stop my contractions but that makes my heart rate SHOOT through the roof. so they are giving me a bunch of pills that i dont even know what they are for. i get real sick that night and .. well... i'll skip those details. but.... about 5 that morning the contractions finally subside. FINALLY it turns out i had a 24 hr virus that has been hitting the prego comminuity pretty hard. they say it makes you feel bad so you dont eat... so you get dehydrated.. and apparently that can make you start having contractions. the IV fluids they gave me was exactly what i needed. i told them that i did try to drink water but it made me feel worse... and they said that water can do that. weird. so... all in all.. i was a long night last sunday. but Larry did a real good job taking care of me and he didnt even pass out when they were giving me the IV. the whole time i was there Titus was doing just fine. he was moving around like something else... i guess because it was sugar water in my IV and it got him all hyped up! :) i'm feeling lots better now.. i went home Monday and slept and slept.. which was nice.. because hospital beds are NOT comfey at ALL :)

i also downloaded the audiobook for Alice in Wonderland. i started it this morning and was listening to it while i was knitting and i just got lost in it. it is so very good. the next one i wanna dl is Peter Pan.

i still love Twilight. its still my favorite movie.*sigh*

i watched a bunch of old VHS's the other day... Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King and the Newsies were a couple of my old favorites. i forgot how good they were. i even looked up on imdb.com to see who the voices were...

i didn't realize that Mr. Bean was the voice of Zazu. WHAT?! really?! AND the boy who plays Spot (Newsies) was the voice of Little Foot in The Land Before Time!

one of larry's students bought him an iPod Touch. he's so spoiled. its ok though... because i have my pretty pink mac that i'm writing this on right now.

i am loving hanging around with all the "young adults" at church. i shouldnt have been so shy and started talking to them sooner (not like i started talking to them first.... Nineveh was the one who asked me to do her hair and then Katie afterwards) but like i said, i'm LOVING it.. it makes me like Longview more (although it still doesn't feel like home).

larry told me the other day that we needed to start saving for a house. laama?! (that's "huh" in arabic) are we gonna live in Longview?! its WAY too big. i need a place that was 2 stoplights... 3 tops. *sigh* it's ok.. my home is wherever Larry is.

we are still wanting a baby.

i'm gonna call my dr next week to see if they can do a celiac blood test. *crosses fingers that i'm not. . but if i am it will answer some questions*

trying to do the BBT thing.. but its really hard to wakeup at 5:30 on the weekends to take my temps.

i want a baby so bad!

man! it feels good to finally say that out-loud... er sorta. you know what i mean.

it seems like everyone that is my age and is married already has kids and/or is working on the next one. (not that that is the reason i want one.. it just makes it really hard on me... i want to be happy for them [and i am] but it still makes me sad).

i get really depressed every month when it doesn't happen. i cant even tell you. sometimes i think it is never gonna happen for us. i wonder too if something is wrong, or if my hormones are still screwed up major or .. well.. i don't know. but my imagination will run wild with things that i think are wrong.

ok... well.. there you have it. i just couldn't keep it all cooped up inside anymore. it was driving me mad!

So.. I'm a bit depressed.. but I can't tell you why.

I am looking forward to saturday, when the Twilight DVD comes out... I will have another movie to watch! Yay! i may even go play golf tomorrow for the first time in my life.

I haven't been feeling good since yesterday. I just feel so bla.

I did have a good time out at Tom & Michelle's house this last weekend. It was great seeing everybody. I always enjoy get-togethers.

Someone remind me to buy Loaded Question. that is most definitely in my top 10 most fav games!

I have worked on my dressers much. Now that my father-in-law is letting me borrow his sander things should go better. I just need Larry to show me how to use it.

I bought 3 old navy dresses here within the last couple of weeks. I LOVE them so much! I want more! They are so comfy that I will even wear them around the house!

i almost have enough saved for my mac (my dresses put a dent in it... which I guess is defeating the purpose of larry teaching me 'how to save'). Maybe 2 more weeks and I will be good! Yay! Unless he wants to suprise me a go ahead and get it *wink wink honey*. Hm....... Perhaps I shouldn't hold my breath, huh?

i seriously thought my hair was gonna fall out the other day.

Friday night i decided "hey.. i should go back blonde"... so i did! i didnt pull it thru a cap (i should have.. but i dont know if it would have been any better). it was the color of the sun! oh man it was bad!
THEN i put on a cap and threw my hair into pigtails and went to meet Larry, Klint, and Ninevah for dinner.. and the reaction from my husband was "WOAH" how nice.
got home and Klint & Ninevah came over and she pulled my hair thru a cap and i put brown on it. (it was the only color i had at home).
well. that looked like chocolate & vanilla.
poop.
so...... i coverd the whole thing with that brown (a 5M actually) and called it good.

i really thought my hair was gonna fall out.

Mom and Sharon and her boys and I met up at canton (after mom and I got some breakfast) and took off.

i celebrated my 26th birthday this past Sunday, so for the day Larry and I went to Tom and Michelle's franch.

I got to see baby goaties.. and that completely made my day! :)

i'm starting a "Terra's Mac" fund... so if anyone wants to donate, just let me know and i will give you my mailing address :) no seriously, the only way i can get online is at work (which i am right now... even tho i'm not supposed to be) 0_o or on my palm phone. so... if you wanna donate, i would love to accept.

my dad had surgery a couple of weeks ago on his neck, but he seems to be doing much better.

i'm going to Canton this friday and meeting Sharon and my momma (she's leaving dad at home to fend for himself). I will be looking for old dressers to paint and whatnot for my bedroom. Larry told me the other day that it had no style.

Larry, Mom, Emily, Adam C., and I flew down to Beeville this last weekend to go to Adam LaRue's wedding. It was BEAUTIFUL.
I tell you what... flying SURE beat's driving! i am becoming spoiled. :)

Work seems to be going pretty good... but like i always do, i get tired of things fast.
I've been here a year and a half... and i'm ready for the next step in my life. I AM my father's daughter.
.... not that i dont enjoy my job! i have the best boss in the world... but i'm thinking that my time here is getting short. (unofficially of course)
There is a girl here that is gonna go on maternity leave in May, and i'm gonna be taking over her duties for those 6 weeks... so i gotta hang around for a while still.

My kitties moved out. They were sent to live in mom and dad's barn. I think they are happier there. I just couldnt handle them and my husband at the same time:) But at least it was my decision to send them with her and i wasn't forced into it.

i am attempting to lose 20 lbs.
why you ask?
because i'm FAT. HA!
i am taking Zumba classes 2 times a week... soon to be 3 times (they are adding another class).
I'm going to the new gym here in town... but i'm just doing the punch card thing.. we don't know what the economy is gonna do so i dont wanna get into a contract for a year.
BUT i have lost 5 lbs so far! YAY! too bad you can't tell.
I AM serious about it this time... so wish me luck!
